Our story
Why we started WellsRX.
Malaysia has no shortage of technical talent in oilfield well services. What it has lacked is a home-grown specialist; a company that treats Malaysia as its primary market, makes decisions locally, and is fully accountable to the operators and partners it serves here.
WellsRX was founded in May 2023 to fill that gap. Our team brings deep, hands-on experience earned over careers that span every role from workshop floors to top management. That experience gave us a clear picture of what operators actually need from a well services provider, and the conviction that a Malaysian company could deliver it at the highest level.
We obtained our Petronas licence, secured our equipment fleet, and immediately kickstarted our first project in October 2025. We have since built a portfolio of long-term panel contracts with Malaysia's leading operators and extended our reach into Vietnam and Thailand.

May 2023
WellsRX Sdn. Bhd. incorporated in Kuala Lumpur.
Jan 2024
Granted PETRONAS vendor licence with 14 SWEC codes.
Oct 2024
First contracts won. Appointed by 7 PSCs under MPM IWCS.
Oct 2025
First project. P&A campaign at offshore Sarawak for Petronas Carigali.
Nov 2025
First international project, Vietnam market entry. P&A for VietsovPetro.
Dec 2025
Certified by Petroleum Sarawak (PETROS).
Mar 2026
Thailand market entry.
