Between October 2024 and January 2025, WellsRX was awarded five-year contracts by seven operators under the Petronas MPM IWCS Package B2, formally “Pan Malaysia Appointment of Panel Contractor for the Provision of Integrated Well Continuity Services for Intervention, Workover, and Abandonment for Petroleum Arrangement Contractors”. The seven companies are Petronas Carigali, EnQuest Petroleum Production Malaysia, Shell Malaysia, Vestigo Petroleum, Jadestone Energy (Malaysia), Hibiscus Oil & Gas Malaysia / SEA Hibiscus, and Roc Oil (Sarawak). Each has independently appointed WellsRX as a panel fishing services contractor.
This kind of appointment doesn’t happen quickly or informally. The IWCS panel process involves technical and commercial evaluation across multiple operators, each running their own assessment. Being appointed by seven within a three-month window, including majors and independents operating across Peninsular Malaysia, Sabah, and Sarawak, reflects something about how the industry here views WellsRX’s capability and standing.
For operators on the panel, it means WellsRX is now a contracted option for fishing, intervention, workover, and abandonment work across their Malaysian assets for the next five years. For WellsRX, it’s a signal of where the company is headed — and the pace at which it’s getting there.
